MY STORY
I don’t carry a gun because I love it; I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me. Years ago at 10:30 am in the parking lot of a retail store, I was securing my 1-year-old granddaughter into her car seat when I heard yelling. I turned around and 4 young men in a car aggressively approached me demanding money. I slammed the car door, jumped in the driver’s seat, locked the doors and drove off to the next parking lot where I then safely buckled my granddaughter in her car seat and headed home aware of my surroundings.
Needless to say, I was quite shaken. It was that evening I realized I needed to become my own first responder. First step, I carefully researched and purchased a firearm and applied for my CCW (conceal carry permit). I enrolled and successfully completed various levels of fundamental firearm courses. I have since advanced in my levels of training and will continue to do so.
I carry a gun because I don’t want to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared. The responsibility and education of Concealed Carry and Home Defense will be the most important decision you will ever make when it comes to protecting yourself and your family. Let’s improve and together we can set in motion our Warrior Within.
I own nothing. I just manage it all for God.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
